Staff members actively engage with patients, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensuring that concerns are addressed with empathy.
  • Positive Journey for Many Patients
Many reviews reflect successful outcomes, with numerous testimonials celebrating successful pregnancies and the arrival of healthy babies. The clinic’s support and guidance during these sensitive times help make what is often a challenging process more manageable and fulfilling for couples seeking fertility assistance.
  • Informative Open Days
Patients appreciate the informative open days hosted by LWC, which provide valuable insights into the IVF process without any obligation to commit. Many prospective patients found these sessions helpful in understanding their options, which in some cases led to choosing LWC over competitors.
  • Dedicated Patient Coordinators
The introduction of Patient Care Coordinators at the clinic has been praised as an invaluable support resource, offering a consistent point of contact for patients. Coordinators like Safak and Ana-Maria have made significant impressions by demonstrating genuine care and attention, guiding patients through each step of their journey.

What to watch out for at London Women’s Clinic?

  • Communication Breakdown
A recurring theme in reviews is ineffective communication between clinic staff and patients. Some have reported delayed email responses from coordinators, leading to missed appointments and prolonged treatment timelines. This lack of coordination can significantly impact the emotional and practical aspects of fertility treatments.
  • Billing and Costs Transparency Issues
Patients frequently express dissatisfaction with the opacity surrounding clinic fees and billing practices, with many feeling blindsided by unexpected costs. Transparency regarding pricing and the breakdown of services offered remains a common point of frustration, especially for couples in sensitive financial situations.
  • Disorganization and Coordination Issues
Several reviews describe LWC as experiencing disorganization within departments, where doctors, nurses, and coordinators often operate without effective communication. This has resulted in patients feeling overlooked or receiving contradictory information about treatment plans.
  • Pushy Treatment Recommendations
Some patients feel that they have been pressured into making decisions regarding treatments such as IVF and egg donation, often before fully understanding their individual situations. This has contributed to a sense of impersonal service, where patients feel like mere transactions rather than valued participants in their fertility journeys.
  • Inconsistent Care Quality
Reviews indicate that the quality of care can vary widely among clinic staff. While many patients laud their interactions with certain doctors and nurses, others report negative experiences with specific professionals who have been perceived as rude or lacking empathy, highlighting a concerning inconsistency across the board.

We had a very positive experience with the LWC and are so grateful for all the treatment we received and the kind care from everyone we came into contact with at the clinic who helped us along the way. We were always met and communicated with, with care, kindness and respect.

We went with the multi cycle package and were successful with our second round and second embryo transfer and have just given birth to a healthy baby boy. This wouldn’t have been possible without the LWC! Thank you!

Words can’t express the regret I feel having made the choice to work with this clinic and place my trust in them. Having moved on and shared my experience with other professionals I am validated by their universal support and agreement, that serious missteps were taken while I was a patient.

Excellent experience. Plenty of staff who are all very courteous and kind. We were late to the appointment but they fitted us in without any troubles. Facilities are immaculate. I’d definitely recommend.

Update:

I found the clinic through doing research and trusted them because of this and the fact that they are on Harley Street and you’d expect a better service from a clinic on “Harley street”

The biggest mistake I made was going to this clinic. On the initial consultation i told the nurse Georgina that I was adamant doing the procedure in March, because this was the only month I could do it( I travel a lot for work). However, I had a business trip when I was meant to get my period and mentioned to Georgina I would need to delay the period in order to start the process when I returned. I was told this was no problem and that I can take period blockers which would delay my period and I could start the egg freezing process when I was back.

I was given a prescription for norethisterone and told to take it once a day. This is what
I did – I was also told by a friend that she was on the same pills and was told to take 3 times a day, which confused me and I called the clinic and asked my coordinator Orla to confirm how many times a day I should be taking the medication, to which she said once a day.

Unfortunately, on the 24th of February I got my period, and when I checked the box of the medication it said I was meant to be taking the medication 3 times a day. When I called the clinic up I had to wait to then find out that they made a mistake and I was meant to be taking 2-3 pills a day. As you can imagine I was very upset and reminded them that this was the only month I could have done this procedure. At this point, I was put in contact with a doctor from the clinic, who ensured me that I could still go ahead with the egg freezing, even though my period started. The nurse said that she did treatment on people that don’t even get a period or patients that have cancer. Being compared to a patient with cancer doesn’t
Make me feel good. I am healthy and young I should not be compared to a patient with cancer.

To cut the story short, I could not do the treatment when I wanted to, as it was too late. I wasted money and time to attend all my appointments to then be misinformed about how to take medication. You would expect a fertility clinic to know the correct dosage. Do not compare your patients to others, educate your employees and stop taking advantage. Do not choose this clinic. They do not know what they are doing. All they care about is money, the communication is terrible. They are more expensive than other clinics. They will leave you in the dark and they only time you will have good communication is when they are taking payment from you.

They say they care about mental health but they do not, I am now not able to do the egg freezing until the end of the year, as I do not have the time. I made this all very clear when I first contacted the clinic. I was told “sorry it is human error”. I do not expect this human error from a “leading” woman’s clinic in Harley Street. This clinic chargers more than others, I would advice not choosing this clinic if you want to be taken care of, look elsewhere, into a smaller a smaller clinic that value their patients more. At this clinic you are just a number, they want your money and they don’t even know the ins and outs of treatment. I ended up having to google how many times a day I should be taking medication instead of being informed from either the nurse or my co ordinator.

I hope no other woman will have to go through what I went through.

Good hot chocolate 🙂
On a serious note, the LWC has been very good to us, offering LGBT friendly support where many others didn’t. Capable and friendly staff. Flexibility to visit Harley St or London Bridge. Would recommend.

Terrible service. Purposely told the clinic that the only month I could do the procedure was March. Was told to do all the tests, buy the medication and start period blocker. My co ordinator Orla mentioned to me to take them ONCE a day when in fact it was meant to be twice a day. Got my period early which meant I could not do the procedure which meant I can’t go ahead with anything for about 5 months as I won’t be in the country for until July. Just a money hungry incompetent clinic who don’t actually care about their patients well being. You expect to get good service when paying extra money because they are a “Harley street clinic” but you will have to be chasing for all the information. Might as well choose a smaller more organised clinic to deal with such important procedures.

My experience with Harley St… the staff are amazing ! Very compassionate ready to answer any questions to their full understanding of the circumstances- I have gone through ivf 4 times with in the year without taking a break and they have unfortunately all failed . There’ was no reasons why it was failing except I’m really sorry ? I paid £30k + and am 50 yrs old.. TBH the clinic do not really give transparency or have a solution for thefailings. I would not recommend this clinic for over 50 as after spending so much money to be told “we don’t know why and it’s a shame “ is simply not good enough ! They will not carry out extra tests to go that extra mile as it’s too expensive for clinic , even though you spend over 30k. It’s unfortunate they do not understand this journey is draining and to go that extra mile would help and give reassurance and I would have not felt it’s all a money making scheme. I have given 3 stars as the staff are really friendly and have time to answer questions. Apart from this I did not feel any transparency .to the failings, except giving you more medications on every cycle hoping it will work? I am a very healthy person with no medical issues except mild thyroid and with this treatment I now have a small fibroid developed hopefully this will dissolve by itself I’ve been told ?
I do feel the need to write this as most reviews are based on staff & not the actual treatment outcome which I find really important as this will give a correct guidance.
