I’d like to share my experience in the hope that it helps you make the right decision when choosing a clinic.
Unfortunately, everything about this clinic—the treatment process, organization, and especially communication—was a complete mess. For an international patient who doesn’t speak Spanish, navigating this system is extremely frustrating and challenging, especially if you’ve never undergone this procedure before.
Initially, I was given one protocol for oocyte preservation, but when I checked my patient portal, I discovered a completely different treatment plan. When I contacted the clinic for clarification, I received conflicting explanations from different representatives, which only added to my frustration. Luckily, I decided to follow the originally prescribed protocol, which ultimately worked in my favor.
As my treatment continued, I once again received conflicting instructions—one from the international department and another from the medical team. I had to double-check everything to ensure I was following the correct plan. Communication was completely disorganized, with only a few staff members speaking decent English, while the nurses didn’t speak English at all.
There was no proper guidance or oversight of the treatment process, making it extremely stressful to navigate—especially if you don’t already know how things should be handled.
Post-operative management was also horrible. I experienced a lot of pain after the procedure, and despite my discomfort, I had to wait 30 minutes before they finally gave me paracetamol, which didn’t help at all. There was no real concern for my well-being or proper pain management. It was clear that patient comfort and care were not a priority.
During the egg retrieval process, I was told I would have time to recover in the clinic. However, immediately after waking up, a nurse handed me a coffee and a cookie and asked me to leave so they could prepare the room for the next patient. The entire experience felt rushed and impersonal.
To make matters worse, after the treatment, I was never contacted by the doctor to check on my recovery or answer any questions. This only confirmed my impression that they don’t truly care about their patients once the procedure is done
Overall, my experience at this clinic was chaotic and frustrating. The poor communication, lack of proper organization, and complete disregard for patient comfort and well-being made the whole process feel like being in a factory—rushed, disorganized, and stressful. I would not recommend this clinic to international patients who expect clear communication, proper care, and professional oversight of their treatment.

We came to IVI following a dramatic first cycle done in the UK where we were told that my eggs were essentially too old. Our wonderful doctor explained to us the odds of the statistic and that we definitely could try again and also highlighted some potential shortfalls of the previous cycle. After only one cycle I got pregnant with my lovely boy. We will be forever immensely thankful to the team for everything they have done for us. Compared to the UK where it seemed all they wanted was to sell us add ons that turned out to be not relevant, at IVI we were treated with respect and kindness. Our questions always answered. Whatever is your journey to motherhood, the quality of the lab and the knowledge of the professionals looking after you can make a huge difference. With IVI you are in very good hands.

Ivi is the most serious, responsible, professional, empathetic, friendly fertility clinic with the best results in Spain. These types of treatments are expensive, but by choosing Ivi, the results are so good that it ends up being much cheaper than any other clinic.
It is worth highlighting the work of Doctor Garcia Velasco, a true eminence in the field who achieves incredible results even in the most difficult situations, together with extreme kindness, as well as availability and absolute dedication.

I am leaving with a favorable result from my treatment but above all I would highlight the treatment of my doctor who has accompanied me throughout this time.

My experience was not very good, in general they always made me wait a long time and then they wanted to ventilate me quickly. Especially the treatment of Dr. Carlos Iglesias at first seemed pleasant but it became increasingly cold, sometimes even borderline because I asked a lot and he had no patience and now with perspective I see that he did not advise me well in the treatment. The only doctor who really treated me with closeness and patience and I did like it was Nina Wegmann, with her I got pregnant although I later had an abortion. Now I go to another smaller clinic where the treatment is closer and better.

Thanks to Dr. García Velasco we saw light on the path of being parents, something that seemed difficult to us. I highlight empathy and affection, clear information and resolving all our doubts, joint objectives, dedication and care at all times, attention from the entire team. Without a doubt, a being of light. I’m sure we’ll see each other again in a while!
