I couldn’t have asked for better treatment from Dr Romero and Àngeles. After being given heartbreaking odds about my ability to conceive, I went to Instituto Bernabeu for IVF. Their expertise, dedication, and unwavering support made all the difference. It took some perseverance but we got there in the end. They have made us a family, and for that, I cannot thank them enough.

Thanks to IB we have two wonderful children. I can’t thank enough Dr. Romero, Martha and Victoria. Such a wonderful team.
We went to other clinics in Europe, but I can guarantee you that they are much better than the rest. They are far ahead with treatments.

The only objective of this review is to warn couples, who like us, believed that this was a serious and professional site, but nothing further, it is another money-making machine with fertility problems.
Friendly faces and nice words at first, but then you find yourself lost, every day with a different gynecology (the illusion blinds you and you normalize it) and in the end you get a totally depersonalized treatment with worse results than in social security.
The process was so bad that after the puncture the doctor told me to file a complaint. I reported what happened and instead of finding empathy, support… (since we had another attempt left) we only found excuses, a lot of hostility and no understanding.
We requested a refund of the money since trust had disappeared and now we just have to forget the bad times we experienced.

Although my fertility treatment is taking longer than expected and is sometimes very difficult, I want to express my sincere gratitude to several people for their help and support. In particular, I want to thank Dr. Daurelio for her humane treatment, her concern, her sense of humor and her ability to put things into perspective. It has helped me get through the most difficult times. My sincere thanks also go to my personal assistant Vicky and her colleague Elena, who are always available with a smile, even from a distance, to listen to me and offer me advice. Likewise, Dr. Marco and Dr. Herencia have given me very clear explanations. Dr. De la Torre performed the hysteroscopy with great care. Likewise, my most sincere thanks to the nursing teams (Ana, Sandra,…), anesthesia, embryology, Guillermo and Yolanda and all the people whose names I have forgotten 🙂 I recommend everyone in Belgium to go to the Institute Bernabeu in Madrid like me.

After 5 years of hope and struggle, this amazing clinic made our dream come true. The entire team is not only highly professional but also incredibly compassionate and understanding, which made uns feel supported. The doctors and staff truly listened to our concerns, answered all our questions and provided personalized treatment tailored to our needs. Thanks to their expertise, we are now proud parents of a healthy, beautiful baby. We cannot express enough gratitude to this clinic for giving us the greatest gift of our lives. We recommend this clinic – they create families.

I have had the best experience at this clinic and much better then my fertility treatment experience in the USA. We ended up at IB Madrid after researching and having many consultations with doctors outside of the USA since we wanted better care at a more affordable cost compared to that of the USA.m. Since the beginning I have been seeing Dr. Romero and her administrative assistant Elena. I must say I have had nothing but the best experience with them. Elena is extremely helpful, nice and very responsive. Dr. Romero was the first one who didn’t look at me odd for my DOR condition in my 20s. Instead she gave us hope again. Hope that many other doctors had diminished or belittled. I’m extremely grateful for all the staff that I have had contact with because no matter how small they were warm and welcoming.I always feel heard and comfortable at the clinic. I didn’t just feel like another number there like I did in the fertility clinic in the USA. Overall, I’m blown away and extremely grateful for their care. Thank you!

I wants to update my review to include that with the care and help of Dr. Romero, admin assistant Elena, and other very wonderful staff at IB Madrid, we have welcomed our first baby boy. We are beyond grateful to them for helping us make our dream come true of having a baby and growing our family! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! You are truly an amazing team!

A potentially scary/angsty experience was made “easy” by the staff (receptionists, nurses, PAs, and doctors). All were super friendly and provided comprehensive answers to my million questions. Great price/quality ratio.

Sometimes response times weren’t optimal for non-emergency matters but calling the emergency numbers did help.

The premises (Ayala and Velázquez) are impecable. Their locations are excellent and super convenient.

My husband and I have been on a difficult journey with infertility since 2020. Over the years, we’ve gone through nine rounds of IVF and countless other treatments, but success always seemed just out of reach.
I can’t say enough good things about Instituto Bernabeu. Honestly, things didn’t start off great—my first patient coordinator wasn’t responsive, and I felt unheard. I was on the verge of switching clinics when I found out that coordinator was no longer there and I was reassigned to Victoria. That change made all the difference in the world, and it felt like I was dealing with a completely new clinic.
Working with Victoria has been amazing. She’s prompt, attentive, and made sure I always had the right appointments at the right times. Her warmth and dedication turned what could have been a stressful process into something so much more manageable and positive.
And Dr. Alicia Herencia—I don’t even have the words to express how much she means to us. She’s warm, positive, and so knowledgeable. Every appointment felt reassuring, and she made us feel genuinely cared for and hopeful.
The entire team at Instituto Bernabeu has been welcoming, kind, and professional. I’m now almost 10 weeks pregnant, and it’s all thanks to them.
If you’re facing fertility struggles, I can’t recommend Instituto Bernabeu in Madrid and Dr. Alicia Herencia enough. Their support, expertise, and compassion make all the difference. This is a place where hope is renewed, and dreams really can come true.

They attended to my personal circumstances, they discovered my problem, I transferred my eggs from another clinic, due to the personalized treatment from reception, the biologists with their big smile, nurses, gynecologists, cleaning staff, Merche my advisor who helped me a lot with my doubts, the doctor Morrajo and Ruth my star that it was their transfer that gave us pregnancy. The first time they treated me very well and it was a total success the first time.
The second time it didn’t work, and I also didn’t feel accompanied by either my doctor or my assistant.
I told them that I couldn’t go to the ultrasound because I was already losing it, and still no one has contacted me. Neither my assistant nor the doctor has called me.
During the loss process, a different doctor spoke to me each time and she didn’t know my history.
No one has asked me how I feel yet.
