The medical folks at Genea are excellent, within the constraints that they have.
Everything else is abysmal. Their admin staff are appalling and don’t care about anything.
The response to our medical data being stolen is terrible. While they suggest contacting cyber@genea.com.au, I’ve yet to see a response from my email to them.
Years of dealing with their entirely incompetent admin folks. There are other folks offering IVF. Choose any of them.
Genea could spend less money on the Kent Street foyer and spend it instead on employing people to answer the phone.
On the news they said last week they have been have been hacked and our personal information including all medical records, Medicare cards and all other personal cards including emails, date of births accessed by unauthorised third parties (hackers). I’ve been trying to call them since last week’s news, it keeps ringing out and diverting to Voice Mail, I’ve left numerous VM’S aswell as go on their website and emailed the cyber security email address they have set up due to this and requested an urgent call back, a week on, still nothing. Extremely poor service and very stressful as no one has called us back after all our requests. Would never recommend this clinic. I’ve experienced the worst service here during all the treatments and now this tops it off.

Genea was well equipt to handle complex cases like ours. From daily blood tests, timely medication, staff availability and advice. We received tailormade and adaptive support.
We are so thankful for the support each professional provided us. We had every confidence in each decision. This support has resulted in the birth of our son. For that we are forever grateful.

Worst experience ever. I was told by genea nurse to pick up my medication on Friday. When I came there, was told there was no order yet and pharmacy gonna be closed at 4.15pm. The receptionist sent me message and ask me to return on Saturday to pick up again. I live far away from city and can’t believe thats the way genea treat customers.
I recently underwent a surgical procedure at Genea, and I am left feeling incredibly disappointed and frustrated. The lack of communication and transparency throughout the process was unacceptable, and the hidden costs associated with the surgery were a major shock. The final bill is 10 times higher than what was communicated. I believe that patients deserve to be treated with respect and open communication.

The last thing that you would want to feel when you are going through an IVF cycle to feel like you are going through an IVF cycle. My experience with Genea’s city clinic was just that, the moment I stepped into the waiting room my stress levels would come down and I am in a better mind space to deal with what’s to come. There were times when the whole reception was packed with people but they never seemed to be on top of each other and the wait times were always quite reasonable. The facility is quite stylish, clean and well organised. I also received a much needed support from their inhouse counsellor to help me keep calm and manage my anxieties during the whole process.
There was this one minor issue where my postal address was entered incorrectly in the initial form and took a while for the team to update it. I would get a call from the clinic to provide the correct address every time they required my postal address. Something that the team to improve on to further enhance customer experience.

Purely money focused. Even though I have advised I wanted samples discarded I was not informed that there was a form needed to be signed until they took a significant amount of money from my account. Now begins the impossible task to get this money back
